Lingshui Scenic Area - Eight Scenic Spots of Lingshui

　Lingshui Scenic Area, located in Zhaizhuang Town, Mentougou District, is an ancient village with a history of over a thousand years. In 2005, it was jointly designated a "National Historical and Cultural Village" by the Ministry of Construction and the State Administration of Cultural Heritage. Situated 78 kilometers from Beijing, at an altitude of 420 meters, and 4 kilometers from National Highway 109, the scenic area covers 64,000 square meters. Its unique and beautiful natural landscape is captivating. Historically, the village produced two Jinshi (successful candidates in the highest imperial examinations) and several Juren (successful candidates in the provincial imperial examinations), hence its nickname "Juren Village" (Village of Juren). Lingshui Village boasts a unique village culture comprised of its brilliant ethnic culture, ancient prehistoric culture, profound commercial and travel culture, remarkable imperial examination culture, extensive religious culture, and beautiful ecological landscape. Lingshui Village boasts beautiful natural scenery and numerous cultural relics and historical sites. Among them, the Dongling Stone Man, Xishan Lotus, Nantang Beitiao, Beishan Cuibai, Baibao Sangyu, Lingquan Ginkgo, the Juren Residence and Temple Ruins have been known as the "Eight Scenic Spots of Lingshui" since ancient times.
