Ancient Road of Western Beijing

Located at No. 3, South Slope, Shuiyuzui Village, Miaofengshan Town, Mentougou District, the Jingxi Ancient Road Scenic Area was established in July 2008, covering an area of 2 square kilometers. Facing the Yongding River and backed by Jiulong Mountain, the scenic area is a well-preserved section of the northern route of the Jingxi Ancient Road. Featured attractions include the Shuiyuzui section of the Jingxi Ancient Road, the Ancient Road Museum, a military-themed bar, a science popularization experience hall, a blacksmith shop, a rice wine shop, the Eternal Husband-Free Stele Pavilion, Niujiaoling Pass, a caravan post station, and a 100-meter-long corridor. The scenic area focuses on the harmony between humanity and nature, using the Jingxi Ancient Road as a backdrop and featuring culinary culture. It is a multi-functional comprehensive ecological scenic area integrating dining, cultural landscape sightseeing, entertainment, fitness, and leisure. It is also the best route for the Mentougou International Hiking Event. The scenic area was rated as a National 3A-level tourist attraction in 2016.
