A: A passport, valid for at least 3 months; a China visa; a permit for Tibet if your tour contains a Tibet visit, obtained 15 days in advance; if you plan to go to Tibet, a doctor’s certificate stating that you are fit to travel, and your blood pressure and heart condition are normal in case that the very high altitude have the possible effects on you. We also suggest you bring with you your medical record; the doctor’s name, address and phone number; emergency contact name and phone number; and your insurance company’s name and phone number in the event of an emergency.
Q: Do I need to buy travel insurance before I go to China?
A: BeijingToursGuide provides a limited insurance for customers who have booked our tour packages. The insurance is not applicable when only accommodation or airline tickets booked via BeijingToursGuide. The type of insurance is China Life Tourist Accident/Casualty Insurance only covering accidents that occur within China. We strongly recommend that you take out comprehensive travel insurance from your local reliable insurance providers before your tour.
Q: Do I need permits to Tibet? If yes, can you get permits for me? And what would be the cost?
A: Yes, permits are required for Tibet travel. We can help you to get permits and there is a service charge by the government of 7-10 USD per person. For the help, we need your information including full name, passport number, nationality, date of birth, and occupation.
